Fascia is the board your gutters hang from, and in Tampa it takes the damage when gutters stop working. When a trough or downspout clogs, water spills over the back edge of the gutter as well as the front, and it runs straight down the face of the fascia. Do that through enough summer storms and the wood stays damp long enough to soften. Once the fascia goes soft, the gutter hangers lose their grip, the gutter starts to sag or pull away, and water finds its way up into the soffit, the underside of the roof overhang. By the time a homeowner notices peeling paint or a drooping soffit panel, the problem has usually been building for a while. We find it earlier because we look behind the gutter on every cleaning and repair visit. When the board is soft, we remove the gutter along that section, cut out the damaged fascia and replace it with sound material. Soffit panels that have sagged or been damaged get replaced so the eave is closed again. Then the gutter goes back up, fastened to solid wood with its slope corrected, so the same overflow does not start the cycle again.
Fascia and soffit repair usually starts from something we spot on a cleaning, or from paint peeling along the roofline. We probe the board, photograph what we find and explain how far the damage goes. You get a price covering the wood repair and the gutter rehang together, since one is not finished without the other. We also look at what caused it, usually a clogged downspout or a gutter pitched the wrong way, so the fix addresses the cause as well as the damage.

Soft or split board behind the gutter removed and replaced with sound material.
Damaged or sagging soffit panels replaced so the underside of the eave is closed.
Gutters refastened to the repaired fascia with correct slope toward each outlet.
Proudly serving Tampa, Valrico, Brandon, Riverview, Wesley Chapel and Temple Terrace for 8+ years.
Everything we do comes back to one goal: water leaving your roof, moving through the gutters and downspouts, and landing away from the house. Cleaning, repair, replacement and guards are all ways of getting there, depending on what your system needs.

Each community around Tampa gives gutters a different job. Mature oak canopy in Valrico and Brandon, new master-planned neighborhoods in Riverview and Wesley Chapel, and 1920s tile-roofed homes in Temple Terrace all clog and fail in different ways. Pick your city to see how we handle it there.
Frequently Asked Questions
Gutter Cleaning can be complex, and we’re here to provide answers to common questions. Here are some frequently asked questions from our clients.
There is no single price, because a Tampa gutter cleaning is priced by the home, not the city. Linear feet of gutter, one story or two, roof pitch, the number of downspouts and how packed they are all change the job. We confirm a price before any work starts, and it includes flushing every downspout.
Most Tampa homes need at least two cleanings a year, one before the June rainy season and one after hurricane season winds down. Homes under heavy oak canopy often need a third, because oaks drop leaves and seed pods in more than one season. We can set a schedule after the first visit based on what we actually pull out.
In Tampa, late spring is the most important window, ahead of the June through September storms. A second cleaning in fall clears what the rainy season and hurricane winds left behind. Waiting until overflow starts usually means the downspouts are already packed.
Both, every time. A clear trough with a packed downspout still overflows in the next storm, so we flush each downspout and confirm the water drains at the ground. If a downspout will not clear, we tell you why and what it will take to fix it.
Yes. Two-story homes take longer and need taller ladders and more setup, which is why we ask about the home's height when you book. It affects the schedule and the price, not whether we can do the job.
We work throughout Tampa and in Valrico, Brandon, Riverview, Wesley Chapel and Temple Terrace. If you are just outside those communities, send us your address and we will tell you whether we can get to you.
Water that spills over the back of a clogged or badly pitched gutter and soaks the board repeatedly. Tampa's summer storms make that happen often. Keeping gutters and downspouts clear is the best prevention.
Usually yes. We take down the gutter along the damaged section, replace the fascia, and rehang the same gutter if it is still in good shape. If the gutter is also failing, we talk through replacing that section at the same time.
Look for stains, peeling paint, sagging panels or gaps along the underside of the roof overhang, especially below corners and downspout outlets. We check the soffit near every trouble spot during a visit and photograph what we find.
Yes. New gutters fastened to soft wood will pull loose. We replace damaged fascia first, then hang the gutters on sound board.
